SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt County Drug Task Force with the help of Shepherdsville Police made their 36th Methamphetamine lab bust of 2008, 12 more than in all of 2007.

Jonathan Knauer, 25,of Lebanon Junction, was stopped by Shepherdsville Police Monday evening. After approaching the car, officers found a gallon jug in the floorboard of the vehicle which had an active Methamphetamine lab in progress. The Bullitt County Drug Task Force was called in and two additional active labs were found in the trunk of the vehicle.

DTF Director Kenny Hardin said he's never seen three mobile meth labs in operation at the same time and explained how dangerous this could have been had the vehicle been involved in an accident.

Knauer was arrested and taken to the Bullitt County Detention Center on the charges of manufacturing meth, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a traffic offense of operating on a suspended license.
